From shop floor apprenticeship to After Sales Manager in retail motor industry, joined Aviva as Claims Engineer and then Compliance Manager; Specialist in electric and hybrid vehicle technology and globally recognised electric and hybrid technical trainer for a wide range of companies and industries.

Fully qualified Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Master Technician; Invited speaker for numerous global events; developer of electric vehicle training for global certification organisations; Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry (FIMI) and Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council UK.

Alan has dedicated much of his career to training and engineering, starting with his role as an Aircraft Engineer and Trainer in the Royal Air Force. After leaving the RAF in 2011, he became a Training Executive for a UK sports governing body, where he successfully designed and launched their first online training platform for volunteers. He later served as a Safeguarding and Compliance Officer for another UK sports governing body and now works as a freelance trainer.

 

Alan is passionate about training design and development, contributing his expertise both professionally and within the voluntary sector. He is fully qualified to train in various fields, including Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, First Aid, Safeguarding, Mental Health First Aid, and Fire Safety. Alan is a Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry (MIMI), an Associate Member of the Society for Education and Training, and a Graduate Member of the City and Guilds Institute.
